How can this be acceptable to us as thinking breathing intelligent Americans?
How can our government decide what is right for me, for you, for any woman, when a pharmacist's "conscience" is more important than the lives of two other people (mother and potential child), then this government is truly on a terrifying track. Your personal beliefs have NOTHING TO DO WITH ME, as mine have nothing to do with you. If you are that much of a religious and self-rightous freak that you find yourself compromising your responsibilities as a medical provider then you need to find yourself another job. It is unconciable that states protect these pharmacists who deny birth control.
Those people who say that this government is fine for saving the world, and the little things can be sacrificed for our safety, you are wrong wrong wrong. Every one of you reading this is a pervert of some kind, whether through practicing non-monogomy, posing for erotic photographs, attending "creative" parties, or simply knowing people who do and taking pride in that friendship.
I am scared to death that people I know actually support a government who is ripping away our rights as rapidly as possible. Who cares what the rest of the world is doing, or what they think about the USA? We need to be concentrating on US, not THEM. This country was based on, among other things, freedom of religion, yet those who choose not to practice the state religion, are persecuted. Freedom of speech is being frittered away under the guise of national defense. AND PEOPLE WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER DON'T SEEM TO CARE.
Inaction is approval.
I expect the people who I know are degenerates (and deity of choice bless us all!) to find this all abhorrent. Yet so many, who would be found mentally deficient (homosexuality was a psychological issue in this nation until only very recently), adulterous (cause for being kicked out of the armed forces), and/or fornicators (you're not married and you are having *gasp* sex?), willingly support the actions of the government who will, in time, put us all away.
