Feb. 6th, 2009 10:30 amObama's stimulus bill has been attacked and devoured by politicians, and is almost unrecognizable. Now that it's been devoured and weighed down with everyone's personal pork product, and is toothless and useless, non-Obama supporters are pointing and laughing at how he has "already broken capaign promises".
NPR reported this morning on property tax increases, on local government shortfalls, and hoped-for tax increases of other types.
If for one month, one little month, even a super-short wee one like February, if for one month, people could actually do their jobs without trying to personally get ahead at the expense of other people. If politcians would just approve a bill as written. If banks would stop rubbing their cocks on money. If scamming, bribery, selfishness, greed, and sleaziness could be put aside for 3 little weeks. That's fifteen business days.
If we could do that, I think the American government would make mighty leaps forward in fixing the economy, local governments would be able to improve local infrastructure, and the entire world would benefit.
