I also don't really see the bits where people are up in arms about teaching their daughters to be co-dependent willing victims of stalkers and abuse.
Mostly it's in the second book where Bella's *sob* life is OVER because creepy stalker Edward decides it's safer for her if he stays out of her life.
She spends much of the book overwrought. It's dreary.
I'm also not fond of the Mormon propaganda in the book. stoney321 does a great and really funny rundown of it that can be read here (http://stoney321.livejournal.com/317176.html) called the LDS Sparkledammerung is HERE. I highly recommend it if you have some spare time today.
