Despite having Kaspersky, XoftSpy, and the always(ahem)useful AVP, there is some rotten little thingie that has attached itself to my system.
In the left-most edge of the address bar and tab, when you normally see the red/white "YouTube", the red/white M of Gmail, an "f" for Facebook, I have a little grey planet earth. It's not on all of the address bars/tabs, just most of them.
It's also on my bookmarks list, and on the toolbar buttons for Ravelry and Amazon Wish Lists.
It doesn't spin, or wriggle, or change color. I have run XoftySpySE and Kaspersky to try and purge it, that doesn't work.
Any suggestions beyond "have you tried deleting your cookies?" (cuz yes, I have done that) are welcome.
