GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich got an uncensored earful from an Iowa man during a campaign stop Tuesday.
In a moment captured on camera, the man, dressed in camouflage, approached the former House Speaker in a grocery store and told him to his face, “You know something? You’re a f–king asshole.”
Though audio of the exchange is slightly muffled, Gingrich seems to answer, “No I am not!”
“Yes,” the man said.
“It’s a free country,” Gingrich is heard saying as the clip ends.
The exchange was reported on CNN during “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.”

As we wind down the year, and watch glumly the stupid posturing by the people who claim to represent our interests, I can only wonder how long it will be before states begin to secede from the USA. It will be ugly, and dangerous. There will be old people with pitchforks and torches raging over the loss of their government assistance, which they desperately need. There will be cranky 20-somethings with signs complaining about their student loans. Children, dragged out by their parents, will be used (as they already have been just this year alone) as weapons and shields.
You will need papers to cross a state line.
I am happy I live in the era of penicillin and EBM and toilet paper and DVDs. I regret that I am living to see such a mighty change.
