ACK!! Geek help required!
Our monitor (as you presumably read earlier) was all fuzzy and weird, so hubby went out to buy a new one.
He plugged in the spanking new monitor, and realized that it is NOT the fault of the old monitor. He thinks it may be a wonky video card, ro that there is crud inside the tower.
A little guidance?
Anyone? Beuller?

Date: 2006-09-21 12:54 am (UTC)Certainly open and clean the tower, clean all the connections, re-seat everything and plug it all back in.
It can't hurt, and every now and then it fixes stuff.
If you get a vidio card, make sure it's compatable with your processor, your available slot, your moniter and your OS.
I have heard
Date: 2006-09-21 08:11 pm (UTC)But - what refresh resolution rate do you have the video card set to? If you have it set to a high resolution, and are using a 15 pin VGA connection, it can get fuzzy as high resolution images pick up noise.
If you can set the resolution down to 1024x768 with say 75mhz and let us know how that goes.
